Anna Silk was the first child of Peter Silk (an academic) and Ilkay Silk (a writer, actor director, producer, and professor of St. Thomas University). Anna Silk's dad is from Britain, and her mother, a Turkish Cypriot English expat. She remembers watching her mother perform in play rehearsals. In her early years, Anna appeared in several commercials. Anna was able to move to Toronto so that her acting skills could grow. In the following years, she relocated Los Angeles. Seth Cooperman was introduced to Anna in Los Angeles at an acting training workshop held in 2007. They got engaged in the year 2009. Anna converted to Judaism at the beginning of January 2011, and then they re-wed at the Jewish wedding in Fredericton.
